picked up some ome rear springs for my RUF today.
can someone tell me is there a left and right side on these??
Im assuming not as they both carry the same part no's
reason I ask is the rancho's they replace had left and right sides.

Are they new ones?
I usually put them side by side and the one that is taller goes on the drivers side.

yep new I bought 4 new rears. I thought the same but they all sit identical.

good looking springs though pulled the pack apart to get the main leaf out for spring hanger setup , the ome main leaf is 15mm longer than the rancho and has heaps better droop.

As far as i'm aware they stopped doing left and right springs.

how long have they been longer joe? and the rear springs dont have left and right sides it is only front springs that do that

is ome definately the way to go for ruf? or would you reckomend efs or king spring?? i am chasing good flex and obviously a comfy rise. not so concerned about load carrying..

efs and king springs are a much stiffer spring than the OME's, so yes, if you are going to do a ruf, get ome's. Make sure you do specify you want the softer rated springs, as they do make a heavy duty spring as well.

I disagree.

OME HD rears have a full length 2nd leaf that goes a LONG way to prevent springs bending.

I've set up more RUF cars than I care to remember and I'd never recommend anything other than HD leaves.

Cars with a light front end can run 3 leaves, heavy cars need 4 leaves.

steves right I rang ARB today to check and was told the difference is only the number of leafs in the pack not a leaf rate difference.

Well I stand corrected I'm only going off my experience. My nephew has King Springs and my brother has EFS springs in their zooks, and they both have a totally differant ride to mine with the OME's. I do have the softer rated springs (but I hav'nt done a RUF) and it's pretty smooth to drive and flexes up pretty well offroad.
