Is it possible to get a vitara carby on a Sierra to idle low ???

Wouldn't it be a simple idle speed screw adjustment ?

Can't see why it would be hard.

The idle speed screw is wound all the way out

Check your throtel cable and make sure you have the wiring the right way around hope it helps

ok, not being silly, but is the throttle cable holding up the revs, have you moved the butterfly fully shut to see ?

I put a vitara carb on a mates sierra for him, and all that was needed was to idle down a touch, and jet down a bit, as it was rich as, but idle was just the screw.

Nope cable isn't tight

Have you pulled the top off n looked down the throat, see if the choke is on, really doesn't take much to make it rev, physically touch the butterfly, see if it moves more to the upright position.

Other than that, I have little ideas, maybe the idle up actuator is holding revs up, turn on the lights, see if it revs up further, if not, its the actuator stuck on.
