I'm trying to contact the gentlemen who made the axles for our LJ's for the Jimny guys. He is currently off the radar (major bummer, as I wanted him to come wheeling with us yesterday too ). If you Jim guys are in a hurry you might be best to search around for some one who can do them quickly for you?

Thanks mate Going to call overkilleng (as there the only place I know that makes custom axles) on Tuesday and ask about prices. I would love to have two prices to compare tho. Got a quote for $150 per CV from LROR. So $300 for CVs so far...

That $100 included shipping from memory (though that has failed me already...) Some chromo ones (not sure about hy-tuf). I'll be grabbing 2 more to go with a pair of chromos I pillaged from a Sierra I wrecked recently. I'll message you when I find out what is still around.

Gwagensteve wrote: Let it go Greg. Denial is just a river in Egypt. Steve I'm happy either way Stevie. Confirming that a Double Tough CV will fit in the Jimny front end is a big win already. Obviously you and I thank that 22 splines is not enough, but its all still a giant leap forward for all Jimny owners! No doubt the bigger CVs will have a negative affect on fuel economy though

I think the hytuff will do the job. Obviously not as strong as the 26 spline.. but just don't be stupid and it will do just fine. With my chromos i happily sit there going lock to lock on rock warming up the tyres and trying to find traction. If he doesnt do things like that, it should be fine.

these axles be alot better the the stock ones. So Even if thee not 26 spline, they'll atleast be better the originals. If I get these hyTuff axles I won't back down. If they break I'll buy another set. No point buying them if you ain't going to give them a good run. Ill put money on it, that Hub bolts or r&p will go before these axles.

That doesn't count.. I could not break CVs on 37's if I was driving on Speed bumps in Coles car parks... but that's not really a test.
