Hi there,
Been thinking about doing a 2 inch lift for a little while now and just wondering what is needed. So far i have a bit of a list but if i need something or don't please feel free to adjust it. Most probably going to order from JimnyBits unless another brand is recommended.
- Jimny Bits 2 inch lift, ES3000 shocks - Extended brake lines - Adjustable Panhard arm set - Panhard Relocation Bracket
That is all I can think of at the moment. Also, i would like to eventually run a bull bar and winch and was wondering if i would be able to do this with these products or if the front would sag.
Thanks,

My Jimny bits springs hold up with a bar and winch so shouldn't sag. You won't need panhard relicating brackets either. Shouldn't need extended brake lines but if u have the money it would be good to invest in incase you go a bigger lift in the future.

Thanks for that. Just wondering, if it was to sag when a bull bar and winch are fitted would i be able to level it out by using spring spacers.
Thanks,

Iv'e got the Jinmybits 2" lift on my jimny, and zooky08 is right you don't need longer brake line, and if your are buying the adjustable panhard rods you don't need the panhard relocation bracket.

2 inch lift is all you will need, no panhards, no brake lines.
the front may sag, if you can get heavy duty springs for the front it could counteract the sag. spring spacers will level it out but then the flex will still be ghey as shit. and on full flex you may find it scrubbing on your bull bar.
if you get a winch and can afford it get the plasma rope instead of cable. much much lighter but just as strong.
have fun. great vehicle, will take you anywhere you need to go.

Fit the springs, wait 6 months for them to sag ( and they WILL) then fit some spacers to level it out again.

(it made more sense in my head) okay...... so the rope is stronger. the point was it's lighter and will therefore put less stress on the front springs.

^^ hahah nah just curious, wasnt meant to be a stabbing. rope is a lot lighter wich will be a big point when choosing to throw it on the front of a zook. can you shed any light on the coil spacers? i cant see how they would limit travel, but im happy to be told otherwise.

LOL I'll try and explain this in words as best I can. Let's say a coil is 400mm long with the car's weight resting on it and that the car is sitting on flat ground. If you install a 50mm spacer, the spring will still be 400mm but now the top of the coil is 50mm further away from the coil hat. The coil will still compress just as much as it could before but when the axle has travelled to the top of the coils compression it will be 50mm further away than it was without the spacer installed, giving an appearance of less up-travel. The loss in overall travel will be, in effect, at the extension of the travel due to the shock EXTENDED LENGTH being unchanged. This is why I always say that the articulation is, to a large degree, controlled by shock length when extended and also compressed. In a way the installation of spacers acts like bump stops limiting how close to the wheel arches the tyre can get. A set of 50mm spacers and some well planned (by measurements) shocks would be a great way to cheaply lift a Jimny. 50mm wouldn't need any other mods, the axles would be slightly off centre but not enough to be noticeable. I use the Outdoor Auto coil spacers and have a set of 50mm, 30mm and 15mm which I play around with a bit depending the coils I'm running. His are designed specifically for a Jimny (not just a generic urethane ring like others I've seen) and are interchangeable front to rear.
