Hey guys,
Occasionally when I turn my sierra off, it will turnover a few more times coughing and spluttering until it stalls any idea on what could be causing this?

timing to far advanced? carbon build up?

Idle solenoid on your carby is stuck open...

Timing should be spot on, I ran the timing light over it 2 weeks ago. Is the idle solenoid an easy fix?

Sounds like it's idleing on. 12 or 13mm spanner and unplug on wire.

Before you remove it, just make sure it is plugged it.

On the end of the solenoid there is a rubber 'o' ring. It could be split or even MIA.

Would someone care to elaborate on this idle solenoid I'm a complete newb when it comes to carbys.
