Hey guys,

Ive been thinking about mounting something like this ( http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/UNIVERSAL-TR ... 4cf8a30eee ) to the center of the Jims dash to put a couple of gauges in... Namely, 2 voltmeters (or a dually) and maybe an oil pressure gauge and vac maybe. got a few questions.

Should i even bother for starters?
Where does the oil pressure sender get mounted on the engine (m13a)
are there better options for mounting aftermarkets in the Jimny? (2003, older type dash) Im not convinced the centre dash pod is best option and i hate gouging holes etc.

cheers

You could mount them in the glove box if you don't think they will always be looked at, as for the oil pressure you could run a T piece where the factory oil pressure sender sits under the exhaust manifold or get the right angle adaptor for the oil filter off of a FWD motor and drill/tap then screw fitting in + makes oil filter changing easier too, i kept the one on my M18a and put the oil temp fitting in it, love it.

right angle adaptor for oil filter? havent seen this sort of setup. got a piccy handy? making oil filter easier to get to sounds good.

i would prefer the gauges to be visible, but im looking for a low-impact solution.

The right angle adaptor is below the braided line, this is your exhaust side

This pick was taken before I tapped the oil temp fitting into it
