Need help ASAP!!!

Recently my sierra is becoming a pain in the ass to start once it is warm. It takes full throttle and alot of turning over to even get it to fire and once it has it will miss and spit for a couple of seconds before it will run normally (all whilst full throttle is maintained). I have rebuilt the carby, replaced spark plugs, leads, dizzy cao, rotor button, fuel pump, both fuel filters.
First thing in the morning it will start straight away no issues or if you leave it to cool down for 30 minutes or so it will start no worries also. But once you are driving it for more then 30 minutes or there about it will miss fire now again, misfiring more the longer you drive it to the point it is undrivable (unable to even maintain a speed),
It is becoming more and more of a problem and i am currently drive 50km each way to work and back so i need to fix this ASAP if someone could point me in the right direction that would be great?

Cheers

Is it a fuel or electrical breakdown?
Try replacing the coil.

Yeah I thought the same thing but had the whole motor out 4 weeks ago and double checked and replace all seals before reinstalling....

The f10a has a manual choke. I assume your turning the choke off after the engine is warm, check that the choke cable is fully moving the butterfly valve open/closed.

Coil has been replaced, not using the chocke at all to start it and it is in the full off position, and its a electronic dissy.

Neither really. For example yesturday driving up the slightest incline 4th gear around 60km/h started to lost power down geared to 3rd pulled up to the flat was forced to down hear to 2nd and cut out whilst still doing 20km/h now that would sound like a fuel issue I know. So I got out and pushed it to the next street which is down hill placed it in 2nd again and attempted to clutch start it. The instant I popped the clutch bam turning over but wouldn't pick up revs. Push the clutch in dies again. Still sounds like fuel I know but it wasnt a dry firing sound defiantly sounded like it was firing just at a idle.

Luckily my house is at the bottom of the hill so I parked out the front popped the bonnet and check the fuel filter level before the carby FULL. Pulled a lead of and I have spark. Again would start. Parked it for 40-60 walk back out fires straight away!!

Not sure if this is making any sense or not?

What sort of coil did you use to replace the original?
F10A runs a ballast resistor and points dissy.

An electronic dissy needs a full 12V so no ballast and a higher capacity coil.

F10A runs a ballast resistor and points dissy. Ummmm I bought this motor with the electronic dissy its out of a WT MG410 if that makes any difference to it being a electric dissy or not??

An electronic dissy needs a full 12V so no ballast and a higher capacity coil. Well the ballast is still on the coil from my old motor. How do you go about removing it wiring wise? Also how would this affect it running wise?

Just remove the ballast and hook the wire straight to the coil.
If the coil has an R on it (EG:GT40R), it is for use with a ballast.

Running an electronic ignition coil (12V)at ballasted voltage (7-8V) will cause it to overheat.

Cause the coil to over heat? Which I'm assuming might be the cause of the missing? Sorry for my stupidity only ever owned EFI cars never really dealt with a carby before.

The ignition has nothing to do with carby or EFI.
Fit a 1.3 Sierra coil straight to 12V and throw away the ballast resistor.

Made no difference at all. Starts (cold) now worries. Get it warm and shut it off same thing happens. Gotta give it full throttle and turn it over for a while and then it will misfire on idle for a few seconds and run sweet again WTF. Double checked timing once I replaced the coil, seems to be all good. Played with it a bit if i adjust it either way it will ping or miss. So the timing is right,

I'm about to give up on the F!0 and just throw a 1.6 in her with the amount of work and money I'm throwing at it now I can't see why not!!!

That sucks, I was almost sure that was the drama...

Can you get hold of a 1.3 dissy to try in it. Might be the module.

I'm going to change it over to the old points dissy on Monday which is my next day off. And change the coil back over. If that fixes the issue the I know it the dissy and will buy a new electric one. Will a 1.3 dissy fit straight in?

No. It needs to come from above the main throat butterfly. Maruti carbies come with a vac adv port as do Carry.
You can drill a hole and fit a tit to your carby easily enough.

Ok so I changed the carby over to a Maruti one and problem solved :)) Just got to go grab a new idle solenoid as it cuts out as soon as it hits idle. Pulls through the whole rev range took it for a quick strap parked it up waited a while 2 pumps on the throttle started straight up.

Also this now for sale as family commitments require a larger car :( Check out my build for details
