hey guys quick question,
anyone know wha thte cutoff years for the changing in the vitara cv splines are?
Iv got a 94 lwb donor and want to put a cv into my 89 swb vitara.. just from the green bolt on plate coming out of the dif to the hub. would it work?
Ive read that the cv's are the same just different splines through different years..

Should be the same, they changed from 22 to 26 splines around '96.

My 93 LWB is 22 spline CVs, and it'd be identical to yours (from the factory anyway!)

dont quote me but isnt it just the inner spline that changes and the out is always a 26 spline count.

All 1.6 lhs cv r the same it's only 96 on that the right is different
All 2 l are longer
U can pull the cup off and put ur old one on
I had to go the other way when I went to 26 spline Sierra side gears in my front diff
