I think i'll still wait for JML's, it won't have the cop bait factor to it.

What is interesting is it says "The bar will fit all GVs 98 to 05 " but then says straight after says "and should fit 2001,2002 and early 2003 models with out the triangle headlights"

Isn't 01,02 and 03 in between gv's 98 to 05?

Its air bag compatible, but i'm 99% sure that it's accelerometer activated so any bar would work, looking at another post body lifts would be legal with an airbag GV too...food for thought.

Should fit 01, 02, 03 XL7's

I don't like the look of them much either.

Comp style gear belongs on comp rigs. There is an otherwise stock looking Pathfinder with a great big mandrel bent stainless snorkel getting around Adelaide, it looks hideous!

They're all the rage with the urban warriors in their late model hilux and navara's around here.

I offered to be the test mule for the bar so long as I got a fair discount. Wanted a couple of changes to it tho. I've not heard any more since I offered so don't know what's the go. In hindsight prolly a good thing as the blue baby came along and I've other things on the cards now.

Don't mind the look of this homemade jobbie

Here is a few pics I took yesterday

The bar's coming off BB today for a bit of modding (center hoop is coming off and a few small detail/make it mine touches) and then to be fitted to OD or perhaps sit in the shed till I find a XL7 and then I'll fit it to that.

EDIT:
A bit more info for yous.
The bar, bashplate, nuts, bolts, sundries weigh in at 41kg according to my scales (not that they are anything to go by)
I reckon it'd take about 2.5 hours to assemble and fit (took me just under 1.5 hours to remove in one piece and refit the old bumper. That included a bit of faffing around)
The front of the car was lower by less than 5mm with the bar on (I measured it at 3mm on one side and 4 on the other but my work area isn't square)

I like that it can hold a winch and is airbag compatible but don't like that it looks out of place and you can see through the front wings. I was looking into one but wanted the hoops over the headlights and wings filled but all in all too much effort plus found my TJM bar can fit a winch WOOT. 41kg sounds pretty heavy for the from there how much has it been lowered at the front with all the extra weight?

I like the look of it but I guess it's an individual taste kinda thing and not for everyone.

Agree with your comments about the wings Sco-tie, I'm guna look into some expanded ali mesh or perhaps something solid for that area but still allow the foglights to be mounted. I likely do this while it's off the car (It's sitting in the shed at the moment).

I did speak with them re the hoops over the lights and they reckon that because the wings are removable (I just counted, would you believe there are 8 bolts/nuts for each wing) it would make it really hard to do.

There are a couple of other ideas I'm guna speak with them about to try and help improve the bar a bit, see how I go I guess.

Is that the same centre section and hoop across all the cars, looks like all they have done is make new outriggers and brackets to bolt it on with?

I think you are right. They had a huge number of center/hoop sections lined up when I was there to pick the car up.
