okay here is a picture of it with the control arms just pulled out and the standard transfer mounts in, jackshaft looks sexy, front shaft seems to be on a huge angle at the transfer but whatever, and this is the tailshaft am i going to need spacers or something for that slip yoke ??

Looks about how mine sits, but i do keep meaning to put a spacer in so that more spline is used. When the suspension moves up and down, it follows a similiar arc to the tailshaft, so you don't get that much movement in the yoke, so it's probably not going to fall out on you any time soon and you'll most likely get away with it.

But a little more contact on the spline certainly wouldn't hurt at all and would be more beneficial.

A spacer between the flange and tailshaft will ensure more of the spline is used but will increas the angle on the uni's.
Sort of a win/lose situation.

That looks better,and yes a spacer will help that spline,the uni's should be fine if you keep the trans output and the diff input on the same plane, like they seem to be now, going by the photo

yeah it was just by pure luck i dropped the arms out and the diff kind of settled itself there, we measured it all up and it was perfect

here is a picture of the modded control arms, longer and ended up changing the angle by moving the rear most mount, easier than bending apparently.

well it is all done the wheelbase looks nice and normal, tailshaft angle looks and measures great i am using standard transfer case mounts and every single one of them is snugly bolted in with there little positioning lumps and it still vibrates, i am over this shit

I feel for you Saam, try putting the trans in neutral and spinning it over with engine (be carefull) give a good rev and see ,if it still vibrates its the jack shaft , if not then

That might help , i did one the other day that seemed fine until i took it out and discovered it was binding up so it felt like it had no play until it was disconected. Soooo you never know

i just swapped one but it is stiffer one way than the other so i might have to sus that one out again :!!!!!

well it i definitely not the jackshaft had the transfer in neutral and it was smooth as can be so yeah something is up with the tailshaft

tailshaft only seems to be running on like 25mm of it's spline and has a whole heap of sideways movement with only this small amount, so hopefully this is the vibration hopefully tommorrow tailshaft will be longer and freshly balanced.

UNI's where fine but i swapped them anyways sigh

Cheap ones dont last very long

used toyo ones, seemed pretty pimp action

DOH I chewed a Toyo one out within 1000 kms .The Koyo or factory ones lasted 4 years (about 20,000 kms 90% off road) sorry for the bad news.
The Matsuba ones i have now are good too.(Used to work in a bearing shop and the old boss recommended them)

i still have some work to do anyways, i extended the driveshaft 50mm and the slip yoke looks great, still vibrating though i might have to play with unis more and get it balanced again or something, OVER IT ! lol

i had a similar issue with my 1 litre where the shaft was just unbalanced but it didn't look or feel like it had any issues

I Had heaps of vibrations and my tcase needed a rebuild but like you I wanted to sort the vibrations first, I just gave in and rebuild the tcase, smith as now minimum vibrations now

i rebuild the transfer man it's perfect no noise or vibes from there i am just having troubles with the shafts.
