:p Hey peeps i brought my diff housing's off casper today (thanks mate) they all seem ok not that i dont trust him iv just lurnt the hard way with pepole.
but any way so i have to wait for more money know well the budget to to calculate in my favour lol.but any way so iv got some one to weld the perches on i could do it but they have a jig,nice enough and helpfull bloke:) . The funny thing is and i will investigate further and hopefully take photos of the weekend or so i laid my new diff up aggainst my x coily diff and it matched in length "wt" but in saying this the zuk was a bitsa with a narrow track wagon shell choped into a ute and bolted errr well sat X kinda leaned on a coily chassis,the biggest lemon ever it was mad off road heaps of travel,i put a rebuilt engine wich i still own it reved to 8 grand and loved it and so did i. my question is and im kinda copying casper here a little i want to go rear ruf as most do but i want use 2.6" lift springs in the rear and but i wanna use the the same springs in the front and remove leafs and extend shackles were needed. So opening a HUGE can of worms let me have wat have u guys done thats worked well......And i wanna hear about bump stop location as well LOL:P

RUF = lots of work.

chassis extension
move shackle hanger
move brake line bracket
move bumpstop hanger ( or trim heavily)
If you have a sierra steering box still, you will need to re-drill your fixed hanger aswell to control the forward placement of the diff, otherwise your steering arms will hit.

This one got new shock hoops and relocated bump hanger

Hell no, 85 soft top soon with wt diffs , could I just move the steering box foward 20mm or so and I'm planning in running new shock hoops like above.also I have my Shit Box Coily chassis leaning against my fence could I use the steering box ,or can just bolt a jimmy steering box on and be done and dusted? Also the bump stops when u say move or trim do u mean lift up and online with the diff ,up for more articulate so the diff is capable of lifting more on one side?

Moving the steering box is a BIG job.

A jimny manual steer box will bolt straight in, but apparently that will only give you 7mm clearance........

A vitara power steer box on the BenT wedge adaptor will clear a 25 or 30mm relocation though.

If your axle goes forward, and the shock mount and bump mounts stay in the OEM position, the shock body will strike the bumpstop mount during suspension cycle. So it needs to be trimmed accordingly ( can only take 10mm off really) Or moved forward. Moving it forward allows you to move the upper shock mount forward as well.

You can, but one of the benefits of a RUF is some more wheelbase and firewall clearance.
