Hi theredriving my Suzy home last night noticed I could from hear a grinding noise coming From front wheel its not really lowd or banging comes and goes while driving. Think I need to change front bearings is this a pain in the arse.IM not a mechanic but have A little knowledge and access to tools. There is nothing leaking etc 91 sierra stock.
Think there around 30 bucks anyway any advice would be good cheers
Quite a easy job mate Jack up the car and put jack stands under it Take wheel off then the brake calipers. Give the rotor a tap with a mallet and it should come off Undo all the bolts holding manual locking hub on Undo wheel bearing nuta and locking tabs(50 or 52mm socket) remove the stub axle hub. Hit or press out out race of the bearing and press in the new outer races. Grees bearings and put then back into stub axle hub Now put ever thing back together make sure bearings nuts are done up to the right spec
I may have forgotten some thing but this is what your up against
