I'm doing the same thing though my G16 is an 8 valve with an aftermarket computer. I'm slowly getting the parts together. The sc14 is a touch big for the the 1.6 from what I've read. I've gone with an SC12. To highlight this I've attached below a PM I got from Mart ages ago. Mart's 1.3 beast used to run an SC14. I've calc'd out based on the sc12 flow and pulley size that with the stock g16 crank pully that I've got it would run around 8-10psi at 6000rpm. Mart had to severely underdrive his SC14 and run a blow off valve to further regulate the pressure.
Damo is putting an eaton charger on his stock G16B (same as cooper S and some Merc kompressors). He should have some idea on using the stock computer etc.

I only fitted it because a mate had it lying arround , but it does make a big difference on top end and staying there. I have also rebuilt the motor 40 thou over and had the head ported with a reground cam shaft , This also increased the power greatly , allowing a larger air flow through the motor. I was told the 8 valve head is better for supercharging as it has a smoother flow and the 16 valve head is better for straight injection. I haven't altered the compression ratio as I only run 5-6 pound , I'll take some close up pics and post them later , Cheers Paul.
