Might be a silly7 question but if im installing a 2" exhaust system, can i just go out and buy the extractors, any universal 2" cat, and a universal 2" muffler and take it into a muffler place and get it all connected? or do i need a specific muffler and cat for the engine? (are they rated other than diameter?)

bit of a noob on the exhaust side of things :S
got quoted over a grand from a place excluding extractors so im looking at ways to cut cost

I use these blokes for exhaust bits. Not always, but generally cheaper than the local exhaust shops.

I would at least try purchase the extractors yourself. Can be had for cheap off ebay.
