Hey guys, i have a v6 vit and i noticed a small pool of coolant under it this morning. I assume the water pump has gone. The best i can see is the coolant is dripping out of an unplugged hole behind the main crank pulley. I think. Does this sound normal? Also it looks like its going to be fun to replace, i have a leaking rear main im fairly sure as well.

Options :1 Pull engine out and put a 2.5 :)
2 Replace water pump
3 Pull engine out and replace water pump and clutch and rear main.
4 Burn it.

Sounds like the water pump to me.

How you repair it is up to you.

I haven't tried it but I'd say it wouldn't be easy as the gearbox/transfer is quite long.

I'd undo the bellhousing bolts and remove them seperately.

Yeh cheers mate sounds good. there is 4 bellhousing bolts and then 2 studs with nuts on them. Does the starter motor have to come out first or is it attached to the bell housing.

:peaceout: Ok cheers mate. I should only have the starter and i have to cut the two bolts where the exhaust meets up they are as rusty as a nuns.......

And then she is ready to pull. Might have jumped the gun a bit though as i dont have a replacement. hahah. Does anyone know any go fast things apart from forced induction u can do to salvage some more power out of these?
