Hi All,

My current rear diff is on the way out (SE416 1.6 auto) and still have the diff from the donor car (SV420 2.0 auto). I wanted to know if any here could confirm for me if the diff is interchangeable (internal, not housing as SV420 is wider) and if the rear drums are also interchangeable? Many thanks in advance.

Not sure about the rear drums, although I imagine they would be the same.

As for the diff.... It could be a different ratio, so you may need to use your 1.6 ring and pinion gears. The SV's all use the 12 bolt rear diff centre, where as some of the 1.6L vits use a 10 bolt. If you have the 10 bolt, then the centre is not interchangable.

Do you know what ratio your current diff is? Should be 5.12 i think.
