Sorry if I'm harping, but you haven't asked a question that can really be properly answered.
Shocks don't come sized for a lift, they come sized by compressed (or collapsed) length.
If you haven't extended your bumpstops, there's very little room for a shock that's longer when fully compressed, so there's equally little room for a shock that's longer fully extended.
Also, it's unlikely that with the new springs, you have the same ratio of compression to extension as stock - you'll only have a little bit of droop before the spring goes loose and falls out.
In short, AFAIK commodore shocks require bumpstop spacers to go in the rear of a vitara (I've seen unite a few set up on vitaras). These are sized to prevent the shock from bottoming out at full compression. The shock length and bumpstop spacing dictate total wheel travel, you just choose springs that set what the "normal" position within that range of wheel travel is. Bear in mind too that it's likely your sprains will go loose, and bumpstop extensions help to retain them.
I hope this goes some way to helping you understand that it's not a case of "a stock vitara has 7" of travel and I've fitted 4" springs so now I need 11" travel shocks" - they just won't fit.
Steve.
