The spring sag will NOT affect the wheel alignment settings. The only adjustment is done is toe and this is the measurement between the front of the tyres refer n00b cad drawing
and camber and caster and KPI everything else is in the diff so it doesn't change by the springs
Now asnwer this question. Why do you want a wheel alignment
1:- my tyres are wearing on one side
2:- My car drives like 200 kilo fat chick who has just seen cock for the first time in four years
3:- My car has a vibration issue
4:- I am being proactive in vehicle matienance
5:- I dunno
6:- my car pulls to one side
7:- My steering wheel isn't straight so my alignment must be out

Sooner, rather then later you'll just be back where you are now.

Any reputable wheel alignment shop that notices a vehicle leaning to one side considerably will refuse to do a wheel alignment.
Although it is common in sierras, it is seen by the technicain as a vehicle fault, and any fault in the steering or suspension of a vehicle should be repaired before any adjustments be made.
This is just good practice and really, he is right, it should be repaired beforehand. You could just take a leaf out of the passenger side, although not the smartest way of fixing it, its been done plenty of times before and wouldnt be any dodgier than every other second zuk you see getting around.
The better approach would be to shift weight on the vehicle to suit.
I own a LWB ute, so I made a water tank under the tray on the passenger side and relocated the battery, but if you own a swb your options are limited.

there is really sweet fuck all you can do to shift weight in a swb, and honestly they all lean, even with standard springs, even with brand new springs they just do it, so anyone who would not do a wheel alignment is a lame ass.

Yes, your right. You could fit new springs and still have a slight lean to the drivers side. That is why I mentioned shifting weight. With the fuel tank, battery and driver all sitting on one side of a light weight car it makes a big difference to how the vehicle leans, and flogged out springs can exaggerate the problem. The guy that refused the wheel alignment obviously thought the lean was significant enough to require repair and seen must agree with him or he would just go to another workshop instead of asking for help.
Fitting a rear bar with a spare on the far passenger side and relocating the battery to the other side, as well as new springs would help heaps, especially if you run larger tyres.

quote]
How does it affect toe adjustment? the only thing ajustable on a sierra?
As for pulling to one side seen try firstly checking the tyre pressures ( a good wheel alignment technician would do that before even putting the car on the machine.)
Then make sure the tyres are same condition and same brand and tread pattern
Also if tyres are worn excessiveily on one side then it may cause a pull. Also a off centre belt inside the tyre can make the car pull to one side. To check this try swapping the tyres side to side.
Also a defective tyre may cause this too. The wheel alignment technician should have gone outside and looked at your car first, talked to you about what the problem might be, looked at all the varibles first before going" No mate the car leans too much f#$% off"
Go somewhere decent.

Thee bloke obviously did have a good look at the vehicle to refuse it.
No, the lean does not affect toe adjustment, although it does affect how your car handles. If you dont mind the lean your sierra has, then for sure go to another workshop.
Good point about tyre pressure and condition, TZAR.
