Hello i have a 1.6 vitara g16b in my sierra. The 5 pin airflow type. Now im having troubles cleaning the coolant inlet/outlet pipes. They body has been soaking in mix of petrol and kerosene for a week and this area in the throttle body is still quite blocked with i asssume rusted up gunky coolant.

I have tried compressed air still no luck. It is too hard to poke anything up there. Is there some type of chemical flush available that is done at a specialist workshop??

I have emailed every suzuki parts specialist i can find to perhaps source a new or good used body. Hopefully during the week they can email me back.

IMHO petrol or kero won't help. Glycol is water soluble so a hydrocarbon based solvent won't dissolve it.

Water would be as effective. Maybe try product like draino or a calcium/lime/rust type remover.

Steve.

Is there anything internal where these coolant lines run into the body that i could harm with using a concoxion (spelling) of those chemicals. Like rubber or etc. I am no throttle body genius hence the silly question. It doesnt appear you can pull that section apart either which blows.

Have you undone the cover off the bottom. You can normaly clean it then. Should be a couple Philips Head screws and the cover comes off.
