I know this has been asked alot before... And there has been many different answers and opinions.
I am asking again because i could find the best info...

I have a 95 vit swb and im looking into putting a 2" lift into it in the next 3 weeks,
I have heard alot of different info about como shockes and so on...

So the question is... What should i get??

Either dobson 2" from dank (lwb 50mm lift $890) or como shockes (which i know nothing about...)

Any information will help greatly

Cheers,

Sam

try a second hand pair of commo shocks first. you may be suprised for $20 a shock.

If you like the ride, you could end up saving Money, when it comes to special time for gabriel shocks at Supercheap.

Check some of the build threads or search option, you may need to extend the bumpstops.

I got a brand new complete Dobinson 2" lift for my 92 SWB Vit and it was the best thing I have done to it. Replaced the suspension bushes at the same time.

The old stuff was well and truly had it and I think you would find the same. The car feels much nicer, stable and predictable now.

I am fussy, so doing just shocks and leaving the old springs in seemed a waste of time. So I did it all at once.

I had several places caution me on just random mix and matching shocks and springs as apparently it's better ride if you get them matched. How true this is I don't know but I would rather do it all properly the first time...

Never measured it to be honest, but I am happy with the amount! The Calmini kit will give you more from memory but was more expensive and the feedback on their shocks was pretty poor.

your struts are probably past their use by date, i'd buy new ones if you've got the coin.

OME, Dobinson & Ironman are 3 that I know of that are extended length, there are other brands but i can't tell you off the top of my head.

That would be my choice. Good gear and good supplier.

I run OME suspension, but with Dobinson struts up front.
Happy with both products.

So I'm going to do this..

Rear:
Como shocks
40mm king springs

Front:
40mm king springs
Fipped strut mounts + same struts that are in there.

I'll replace the front struts with dobisons later on
