For all those who drive sierra's and have no interest in a lil LJ, close the page now.

But for those who have a passion for the little beasts, or even sparkies and people who know enough about wiring to not kill me, i need some help.

This is the dash off my LJ50

Image
Rusty around the edges yes but none the less a normal dash

My problem is i unscrewed it from the dash and found this...

Image

Not 1 friggin wire on it and i have no clue where or what the wires go to, all i know is the 12 pin 1 is in my spares car and has a trillion n 1 wires hanging off it.

If anyone knows what goes where or has any of the adapter pieces they would like to part with i would be more then happy :D

Otherwise im gonna cut all of the dash off and weld a clean flat piece of metal into it and make a kick ass carbon fibre dash with gauges and so on...

Somethin Like this....

You'll probably find a lot of Sierra people really LIKE LJ's 8)

If you have the connector for that plug then you are halfway there. Do you have any wiring loom in your LJ, or the parts one? You probably want to get a hold of a wiring diagram for the LJ (I would be very suprised if TZAR doesn't have one of these), then go through 1 wire at a time and reconnect it. Solder and heatshrink each one as you go.

Just some of my own opinion but I think something ultra modern like that would look out of place on a LJ. LJs are cool because they are old school. Your dash looks to be in really good nick. I'm guessing that metal surround will come off, if you paint it the same color as the rest of the LJ it will look tops.

Good luck!

anything you can paint is worth preserving. i am sure someone will have a wiring diagram or some pics to help out. That 12 pin plug looks to be the same as a 1 litre sierra
