50mm deep. But if you don't have one just do what others do and use a hammer and screwdriver.

Hammer and chisel if fine to loosen them, but you'll need a socket to put them back together. It's pretty hard to torque up a nut accurately with a hammer and chisel, and accurate torque is critical to bearing life.

I use a 55mm toyota (hilux maybe?) hub socket if you can't find a 50mm cheap enough. My 55mm was $60 less than a 50mm at the locale Bursons..

The hilux hub socket is 54mm. They work good, sit on the flat of the socket and you can torque them up proper. If you get caught out mate, I have 2 54mm sockets here and can send you one for about $30.

If your just retorqing them you could get away with none. But i would have some grease to repack your freewheeling hubs while your there.

there is a gasket between your fwh and your hub but i dont really worry about them haha. Just be careful taking the first part of your hub off and youll be fine
