Hey all I've run into a problem I'm using all standard parts for my brakes but my rear lights have stopped working the globes are good and I have a new switch and the lights are still not working and the rest are ie parkers reverse indicators they stopped working last weekend and I'm struggling to figure Out why any ideas I'm very confused thanks for the help

Pretty hard to diagnose a wiring issue over the interwebs. And i assume you checked the simple stuff such as fuses and earth points?

Yeah that's all done looks to be good it's got me stumped

Thw wiring and fuses can look good, and not be good.
Are you testing for power at various places, with a test light, or multi meter?

Done and why dos it have to be around the fuel tank or ontop man this sucks plus I just filled it up this really sucks

run a new wire, bypass the stuffed bit thats hard to reach.

These connections are the culprit sucks balls I'll fix it over the weekend there working for now but some solder and heat shrink soild fix it then I'll wire up these bad boys

those connectors are scotch-locks (botch locks) and are the cause of so many problems, i guess you have a towbar fitted & they have tapped into the loom using the botch-locks.

Yes I have stopped using them for years, always a pain, especialy when they get wet n dirty

Never been a fan of them I've always used the bullet conections then I found out how to solder and that's the way I do it all the time now heaps more reliable always has a good conection well I hope there's another helpful thread for someone else hahah how's your vit going??
