well i scored an 84, 1ltr sierra for $500. (sweet)

the standard springs are nice and bendy. and the little motor revs its nipples off (also sweet)

i wanna just put in my 2" shackles, and want to know what shocks will fit? something cheap from u-pull-it.

i know people use commie shocks, but don't know what commie, and under what circumstances.

any info would be appreciated. and im pretty positive someone here will have the answer :-)

Standard shocks will work with extended shackles.
I wouldn't try fitting longer shocks unless you space your bumpstops down at least 25mm or your new shocks will be bumpstop at full compression.
I run VS Commonwhore wagon rear shocks in the front and hiace van rear shocks in the rear, all with 25mm bumpstop extensions.

i have sagged 3" springs with 1" lift shackles and 25mm extended bumpstops
with vs wagon rear shockies on the front of my sierra, works well.

on the back i have 4" springs with standard shackles and rancho shockies
and it is horrible until i hook up my trailer, then it is good.

jas are the hiace shockes of a particular model?
