I'm looking at running a skinny tyre on a LJ wheel or early 1L wheel for my sierra spare. I've seen a few of you guys have done it and I like the idea of not having a bulky fullsize spare hanging off the rear end of the car. I'm running 33' km2's so I'm wondering what size skinny tyre I should be looking at? Also how would one go mounted to the factory wheel carrier on a soft top tailgate?

any pic's would be great :)

thanks,
Lach.

7.50R16 on an LJ/sierra 16" rim will be fine. It's far from a recommended fitment but it will get you off the track.

From memory my spare measures around 31 inches, but I'm not 100%. I can check the tyre size tomoz. I know it's a 16 inch rim...
