Hey guys,
At the moment it has 40mm lift and stock wheels, I'm considering getting 215/75/r15 tyres for the time being and goin up to 235/75/r15 down the track along with an 80mm lift.
So my main question is how wide a rim I should be going that will accommodate both tyre sizes and won't give me any troubles with the 40mm lift. I was looking at dynamic sunraysias but it looks like they only come in 15x8 but I notice most guys seem to be running 15x7...
Ideal rim width would be 6", or even the the standard 5.5" if your tyre fitter doesn't mind fitting a 235/75R15 to it.
Wider rims put less pressure on the bead on tend to get more mud/water/grit in them when the pressures are lowered off-road. A narrower rim is also lighter. If you can, get the narrowest rim you can get away with.
A 215/75R15 won't even fit properly on a 15x8, and a 15x7 will be getting crap in the bead at anything less than 15PSI.
