anything 1.6 manual

5.1s are the easiest to find

2.0l vit's are either 4.6 manual or 4.8's auto

i believe the carby SWB auto were also either 4.6's or 4.8s & the X-90 is 4.8

edit: on my phone ATM, there should be a thread with the ratio's... CBF'd searching, will have a look for it when i get to a keyboard.

Lots of owners do ratio swaps, so it is best to count teeth, or tail shaft turns etc

not many options greater than a 5.1:1 though, one would have to be a bit silly to want to put a 4.6:1 or 4.8:1 into a 5.1:1 geared vitara

I've personally removed 3 X-90 auto front diffs. All were 4.6. @ of them went into my ute and the other I sold to Tanshi's old man. Never seen a 4.8 X-90.
