After talking to a sparky I have figured out I need a relay on the trigger wire for the starter motor. Now do I just cut the wire to the solenoid & run it through the relay or is it more of a pain in the arse????????

Yes it is a clicky starter & thought it was to easy to be right but thanks lads, will wirre the bastard up tomorrow....... happy fathers day to me.... :deadhorse:

Just so you know - the clicky starter fix only fixes one of five possible reasons that a starter clicks without cranking the engine - it deals with a common "Samurai specific" problem, which is not common on the later models.

FIXED!! No more multiple attempts with the ignition. Was a piece of cake to do!!
