i have been reading on here alot since i am jobless until next week that people are putting commo shocks in there suzi's. I am in need of a new suspension set up and was thinking a 2 inch lovells lift kit. But was wondering, can you put commo shocks in a coily?

(following on questions) Providing it works, what are the advantages?
is it purely just cheaper?
Are lifts required also..

no its fine mate the more answers the better. haha. i think the advantage is just cheaper to be honest they also provide alot more flex than stocko's.

if you have a coily you don't have front shockies.

yeh i learnt that from sam. something about a front coil over strut set up haha. so only commo shocks in the rear i take it?

hey mate if your keen for a trip down to maroochydore i can give you a run down on your beast one day and have a look at what you have and what you can do if you want. give you an idea, you may not even need suspension coilies are a strange science lol

yeah for sure bud. i used to head over there alot to surf but have been gettin a bit slack lately. would be good im keen to learn some more about my baby. i semi wish i got a leafy at the moment.

So with my old girl, a full como set up front n back can be done?
Is it really the best option??
Is there a link anywhere to show someone doing it?

Do people usually change up the diff's etc when doing this?

right right, sorry excuse my complete lack of any knowledge hence my stupid questions..

SO - Presumably you need some form of after-market suspension and or lift 1st of all, rather than just banging in commo shocks..

yeah lift it first, then put the commo shocks in. No lift and it will be a very uncomfortable ride with almost no uptravel.

its not jsut banging in shocks, you need a specific part and even better a specific brand

pains me to say but do a search and read some of the threads to see what other people have done with this and make up your mind as to how you will do it, its more than jsut buying some shocks and sticking them in and its done for specific reasons, these reasons may not suit you

Yep, I just said i was going to-do some reading, was just throwing out some questions while the thread was there.
