i know that an EFI G16 is one of the best engine conversions that can be done to a sierra but due to the lack of availability i have to consider other options
what non suzuki engine conversions have people done?

a 1.3 corolla motor (4k?) that goes quite well but is only a 4 speed and could do with 5 speed
a 1.5 turbo motor out of a et pulsar, that goes really well
a commo v6, too much power!!

i have just bought a suzuki ute with a 5k (1500) toyota motor. But looks like it wasn't a real easy install. drvies great though.

hmmm 13b that sounds interesting

i've got a 4k powered sierra ute and that goes like shit
the pulsar/exa motor sounds interesting but i can't say i've seen one for sale ever
and i don't want to put a piece of shit holden engine in a perfectly good sierra

has anyone put a 5k in a sierra any real benefits over a g13?

I have got a ute with the 5k in it. i have only just bought it but all seems to be good. Drove back from Coffs sitting between 100-110 all the way fully loaded up in the tray. seems to be geared fairly low though but i dont know if that is beacuse of the motor or what just yet.

i know of an Excellpowered suzuki but was very new to zooks and didn't pay much attention to it. From what i remember it was the 1.5ltr and was a relatively easy conversion. was using a sierra 5 speed and sierra clutch. but thats all i know.
If i could get my hands on an excell motor id have a crack at mating one to a sierra 5speed and detail what is required.
