OK so I know the leaf suspension topics have been done ALOT before so in exchange for my questions (yes I have read through many topics from auszookers and outers) here are some pictures showing hopefully a bit more info for those wanting to buy the Blupac 2in lift.

And for those who's internet is a little slow

(only front pictured with the Blupac centre bolt removed)

So the photo's show there is a LOT more metal in the Blupac then what I assume are the original Suzuki springs. I have also done what I call the "jumping up and down on them" test. Results are the Blupac is a much higher rate than the originals (surprise surprise). This is not what I want. The original fronts are just light enough rate and the backs are too heavy a rate in my unprofessional opinion. Interesting to note about the pic above is that you can see with the centre bolt removed the arch of the main and wrap springs is just a bit more than the original. Leading me to believe that this may have been a replacement stock ride height spring for a sierra, but add the other two leaves with their extra arch and suddenly it becomes a 2in lift. Also the other pictures show the originals have slipper pads and the Blupac don’t. The rear (don’t have pics but could get just the Blupac if someone REALLY wants them) have 3 leaves + a load leaf on both Blupac and original. It would be easier to take a leaf out of Blupac on rears then the front but am reluctant for sagging reasons mentioned in numerous searched posts.

SOOooo the questions.

-Can you get a 2in lifted spring from any manufacturer, that doesn’t sag considerably over 5 yrs, with a lighter rate then original springs especially on the back. would this spring be able to travel through full range of movement (bump stops and shackles left stock) without deforming the spring. (this is the holy grail question most probably)

-If someone says yes to the above question and its an expensive spring why do you think this is? (alloy, heat treatment etc)

-have many people cold reset there springs (search didn’t turn up a lot here), what I'm thinking (as I'm sure many other have before) is take the main and wrap springs of the Blupac, cold reset to 2in lift or maybe 3in if it will settle to about 2in. Will the cold resetting adversely affect the spring (brittleness, increase rate considerably etc.) will this hold for 5yr'ish with full range of movement as described above.

I have a G16B in the front, ARB steel bull bar, no winch and don’t plan on carrying more then 100kg in the back, usually 30ish kg. just want to improve ride comfort a little, whilst lifting for future tires. have a air locker in the back so flex isn’t a massive issue but a bit more would be nice. Will be a daily driver eventually.

Nope. u will struggle to find any spring that will last 5 years of consistent use without sagging..

As to your statement about the main leaf being "stock height" if u remove those bolts on either end (assuming they are under load) the 3 longest leaves will almost certainly relax even further.

you cant get around sagging springs unless u drive billycart

IMHO, EFS are the best quality springs available at this point in time.

If your asking if the shackles are any longer than stock, then no they are the same length.

I recently installed the "major" comfort kit and the shackles are standard replacement items.

In terms of lift, I didn't get a before and after measurement but there is an obvious difference due to the standard springs being flat. I did remove 1 leaf out of the rear spring. Perhaps because the shocks were replaced at the same time, but I did notice it is slightly more comfy ride, definitly isn't as harsh as what it was. Besides the standard to compare with, overall I'm pretty wrapped with them

some pics taken from my build thread.

Cheers buzzbox for the pics, looks like you got the other Ebay kit, the one with ultima shocks. looks also like your springs came with slipper pads, a small but nice difference for anyone thinking of getting Ebay suspension. Thankyou all for you input. will sit on these springs for a week before fitting or sending back. One good note is the supplier is happy for a return with only $15 restock fee and postage of course.

They may notice that you have removed the bolt which may void warranty / return.

It's listed in their add that basically if they're used in other manner than intended purpose it will void warranty. I would expect that derating / removing or modifying leaf packs will.

Warranty? Ha!
I got my blupac suspension kit, after a week it did the sierra lean towards the drivers side. I contacted them about it,
they asked for many pics of different things. So after all that they said they where sorry and they had a front and a rear leaf on the way...

Never heard from them again...

I'd avoid these arseholes at all costs.
Guess you get what you pay for...

I had noticed that too but the "Sierra lean" is just one of those zook things, and in my opinion no fault of these springs as they are all rated the same.

Some manufaturers are aware of this issue and make the RHS spring stiffer to compensate, for example King springs are labeled as Left & Right. Basically because there is more weight on the drivers side of the car, Have a look where the battery and everything else hanging off the side of the motor lives, Starter, alternator etc. Individually it may not seem much but say the alternator is close to 8-10kg's and so is the starter, the weight of a battery, for arguements sake let's say roughly 20kg's, there's about 40kg's extra on one side of the engine bay alone. Now lets add the drivers weight, Even the spare wheel contributes to the lean. After reading a few posts on the topic and out of pure curiosity, I took the spare wheel off and it doesn't lean as much anymore. suprise suprise.

In my opinion, If you've got the dosh, go ahead and get EFS springs. If your on a budget, these are OK. Not rubbish, not great, Just OK. For about $600 for a complete package including all new bush's and shocks, I think it's very good value.
