Well with hot summer getting closer We all modifi our engins suspension ect But what about the ac my gv one is fine until it get to 38 for a week then its less efective What mods can be done to make it super icy some cars have better ac so I think it can be done the ac shops give me a funny look when iask and say it works fine mate shell be right Leave it. Is it just a matter of a bigger better compressor?

Decent tinting, parking in the shade when possible. But the most important IMO is keep your dash cool. The heat in the plastic takes quite a while to cool down, A reflective sun shade in the windscreen helps alot.

Wouldnt stuff with the compressor mate, the shops are right.
clean the evaporator (thats the cold one inside the car). chances are its gunged up with heaps of shit, that will improve efficiency drastically. It should be under your dash somewhere, maybe on the passenger side... i dont have a GV so cant help you there.
Id also look at getting a professional check it for leaks, repair any found, and give her a re-gas.
Tinting makes a big difference, and if the condensor core is not getting a good amount of cooling air over it, can reduce efficiency too. I find that a problem with my Jim sometimes at traffic lights.
Go for a 2nd opinion maybe if your getting no love from your auto-fridgey

Does yours have a pollen filter? I replaced mine and the airflow was improved alot, mine was filthy.

DONT disconnect any gas hoses as this is ILLEGAL venting of controlled substances! blokes like us get big fines for that shit you know!
you should be able to remove the duct between the fan and the evap, brush it off with a soft brush and vac out all the shit, then blow it clear with an air compressor and put back all the bits you took out. that is if there is no filter (never seen a GV ac setup) you shouldn't have to remove the evap from the car!
check the condenser is clear and the fan works, other than that there isnt much you can do on the system!

Not sure on all the detail as its second hand info, but there may be a fix for you.
Not sure if its applicable to your model, but some gv's (possibly all, I don't know) don't have a heater tap. So coolant flows through the heater core constantly, while the airflow is diverted away from the heater core, the cabin temp is still increased from the coolant flow in the core.
Install a tap into the heater circuit and the air con efficiency will improve greatly.

I really don't think you want to do that - at the very least, if you do, make sure your tap includes some form of bypass so that coolant bypasses the core whilst continuing to flow. The 2.0 & 2.5 GVs have the thermostat on the radiator return and depend on hot water flowing in the heater circuit for it to open, a blocked heater circuit will leave the thermostat closed and allow the engineto overheat.

You can get a larger condesor as this will increase cooling area and hold more gas BUT this will require a lot of work. This is why the Local auto electrics are not interested. It would be an all day job, cutting fitting modifying rerouting lines, checking, and I dont think you want to pay $88.00 an hour for 8 hours for probably two blokes plus the price of parts. Would you pay $2000??? This what they could make doing other work so thats why, not that they dont care, just they need to make money too. You need to research yourself what could be fitted, if it will increase gas capacity, will it affect engine temp, etc etc etc. Now I do know some of the cars in Saudi arabia have factory fitted larger a/c setups but I dont think this applies to Suzuki. Also you could play with the TX valve but then you risk fucking the whole thing up. http://www.ehow.com/how_8030324_adjust- ... valve.html

if you adjust the tx, it may cause liquid refrigerant to "flood back" to the compressor and smash the veins as liquid dosent compress! also a simple retrofit may be a better option then a bigger condenser as just replacing the condenser will throw the system out as well.
anyway its prob running 134a there are other gasses with better capacity, but i dont know what they use in auto but could be worth the question, most likely minius 30 or something witch is a hydrocarbon and flammable.
