hi Guys, I got 89 Sierra about 3 months ago and it had a broken speedo cable. I bought one from ebay and fitted it and it lasted 2 days and broke. I bought a new one locally and it lasted 4 days and broke. When it was working the speedo was reading about 10% under the speed I was actually doing. I have standard rims and tyres.
I think the problem has to be in the speedo itself. Has anyone had the problem and how did you fix it?

Are you fitting it correctly? The cables don't like tight corners. Road speed and under reading doesnt matter, mine is about 20% out.
