I'm not sure if the bits i'm talking about are called a retainer, but in the wheel bearing kits I have used the bearing is pressed on then the retainer is pressed on. The axle oil seal seals on the retainer.

So whatever it's called, can you buy these things separately?

rear axle damo?
any time ive bought new bearings they are included. tried CBC?

You should be able to buy them, or try and reuse.

The only thing that is sort of custom is the wt spacer using normal roller bearings. Ebay suppliers would get them made, all the rest would be on the shelf bits. Genuine style will have the step built in

014.MR is the part number i stock them under.

shouldnt cost much more than $5

That's the ones. I have one of Joe's rear disk setups which uses big GM bearings but you still need to run those retainers so I have to buy them separately.

allied bearings nerang sells them for $5 they also do the whole bearing
kit for $40 a side.

Allied never seem to have that stock for me when im chasing it. :lol:

Bearing wholesalers brisbane always has them - 07 3265 4144 - and if they don't, ask if you can pinch them out of 2617 kits.
