Are 1.3 NT calipers the same as 1L calipers?

i thought 1ltr's had drum front brakes.

so did i, hutch wanted to get some off me and said they were for a 1L NT? is there later models that maybe have discs?

I think all Suzuki 1.0's were drum brake front but Maruti 1.0's came with discs.. Not 100% on that though.

1.3 nt and WT calipers are the same and so are the 1.0 Maruti.

If you want to upgrade your brakes then the easiest way is using the LWB Vitara vented discs and calipers. Completely bolt on. Only have to trip the stone guard a bit. Bleeding the caliper is a PITA as you need to do it with the caliper unbolted. 2 person job.

later 1 litres had discs, pretty sure all had freewheeling hubs

for anyone with a drum brake 1 litre, all you need to convert to disc is from teh 4 14mm bolts that hold the stub axle on outwards, and the flexible brake hose

you can use the drum hub (bit with wheel studs on it) but its so much cleaner to just swap the lot

Royce you have any idea if the later 1L calipers would be the same?

I reckon all leaf spring calipers are teh same, some maruti ones might contain more coke can than suzuki ones but I doubt it makes a difference
