Not looking for a full roof basket maybe a half to 3/4 basket etc.

Rola sports tracks and bars are easily had from wreckers. You might get really lucky and a Rola Vortex rack kicking around somewhere, but they're not stocked by Stupid Cheap anymore. Depends how much load you want to carry. Size-wise do you want 1/2 to 3/4 of a SWB or LWB? This is the Vortex on a LWB:

Cheers mate here is the right here. SWB 1991 Vitara JLX Only got a it a few weeks ago for hunting/camping/fishing trips. I have some camp gear swags etc that id like to throw up top to avoid putting it in the cab if i can. Maybe a half or a tad more of SWB. Here is the beauty here. I need to spray those wheel rims to... very gay looking. And yes! I removed the paw print sticker off the door lol

Looks too clean for a hunting rig Nice pickup anyhoo. Vortex basket would be perfect I reckon, but good luck finding one (they come up second hand here every now and again.)

where are you?
i have the same one as darky has on my swb, that's currently a stationary lawn ornament & looking at pics of darkhorses on a LWB i don't think i'll run it on the new wagon.
it's a bit rusty & crusty, and i guess if you're not in SA freight is going to be steep due to the size of it.

Yeah, would be about that. Car is roughly 5000km away now, so can't chuck a tape on it, sorry. Supplied mounts will clamp around pretty much anything, but are perfect for the Rola sports bars:

I know I always liked the look of the vortex basket on Gus' shorty but wasn't sure if it'd suit a sierra. I idealy wanted a small basket, maybe one that covers just the rear half of a sierra roof but I think I like how it looks on Nato's rig. HAS to have slim mounts though, they look UGLY hanging inches above the roof.

Yeah, I still have to get around to that...
Could be as simple as pissing off the big pad mounts and cutting some sandwich-type plate clamps that would grip the rails and basket at the same height.
