Does an 01 1.6L SWB GV have steel diffs with 5.125 ratios? I believe it does but just double checking..

There were never any steel diffs with 5.12s from the factory as far as I'm aware.
Only the GV V6 manuals which were always 4.3x And the later year GV V6 autos which I believe were 4.8x?
Shame really as it'd make it a hell of a lot easier/cheaper if they had.

Yeah... how much would steel diffs set me back? Is it just the front or both? Hopefully gonna pick up these 5.1s this week

$350 - $500 is a fairly typical price from eastern states wreckers for a complete steel front diff.
For the rear diff - Any diff centre from a 5.12 vitara will drop straight in to your GV. Earlier ones are 10 bolt and later ones are 12 bolt, but really it makes zero difference.
