When u fit reduction gearing how low is to low (for Suzuki Sierra with 3;9.1 diff gearing) I want to be able to operate on the beach and in the scrub with some momentum not at walking pace so what is a good low range reduction to aim for?

i ran 1.6, 3.9 diffs. 31-32 tyres. and 4.9 transfer gears were perfect on and off road

probably like 4.9s .
6.5s are pretty low in low range, my 5th low is like 1st high haha so its hard to easily switch between high and low

I'd agree- based on your pm you might be happier at 4.9 for general off road use.

6.5 is great in Vic but we don't have sand.
