GeckoXL7 seems to know a fair bit about it.

I can confirm you need the cable off him to be able to use it. Just for shits n giggles tried the software out with a cheapy bluetooth elm827 reader (had one already for one of my other cars) as they are the same OBD2 plug on the early GVs.

Rhinoview detects and connects to it fine but it doesn't pull any information unfortunately (which is what I expected, but had to try it anyway).

Rhino is a member on here guys, he's written a bit of stuff in JrZook's efi bike project thread in I made it and Fabrication. Shoot him a pm or something.

Yeah i have used it, doesnt work on my car he has mainly developed it for the Vitara/tracker

You will need his cable and the 12pin adapter, it uses the so called SDL protocol.

Email James at Rhinopower he can give you tons of information.

Ive been helping more out on the later Suzuki's which he is updating his software for, over the years have worked out quite a fair bit how the suzuki computers run.

He can also help out with your vitara ECU, he knows them back to front pretty much.

I've used the Rhinoview software with a different interface (which I had sourced out of the US before Rhinoman developed his) - depending on your vehicle, you might need a 12 pin or 16 pin connector (he has both).

Rhinoview may not work with the later vehicles - say post 2000 - but it should work on anything with EFI prior to that (see note below), I've used it on a 98 SQ420 & a 98 SV620 successfully - please note - there are significant improvements between the early & late versions of Rhinoview - the early "work-in-progress" versions had limited vehicle coverage and configuration tables that the user could add to if their vehicle was not covered, the latest version does not allow user configuration, but has much wider vehicle coverage.

Note - I just wanted to qualify a previous statement - Suzuki has been known to fit interfaces connectors on their early EFI vehicles, and not have anything connected to that interface - for example the early Swift GTi - folks have pulled the loom apart to discover the wiring goes no where. - I also have a Swift GLX with an interface connector, and no ECU (it's a carburetted engine).
