Has anyone got a pic of the baleno crank trigger setup? Could this be fitted to the g13 block? I'm thinking you should be able to swap over the oil pump and it will go straight on there.

Also, is the trigger wheel part of the bottom pulley or a seperate piece?

Been doing some digging, looks like the sump would need to be modified too. The sensor is right at the bottom of the engine, underneath pointing up at the trigger wheel that is part of the bottom pulley.

The more I look at this setup the less I like it. It's really tight room wise around that bottom pulley, which is probably why Suzuki put the crank sensor where they did with the Baleno.

I've decided to go back to plan A, which is replacing the distributor (Swift 16v head) with a CA18 cam position sensor.

Interestingly I might have to put a different trigger wheel in my ca18 sensor. The thing with megasquirt is that there are a lot of different ways to achieve the same thing, so figuring out the easiest way to do it takes a bit of digging.

Yup! Sequential with 4 coils.

I've figured a way to do it with the cam sensor I have. I'm swapping the trigger disc in it for a different one that has 24 windows. It also has a single window for the 2nd trigger. They use these on AEM and Autronic ECUs for the same purpose.

Doing it this way will keep the sensor at the top of the engine. I don't like where it is on the Baleno, it's a bit vunerable.

Yup! Sequential with 4 coils. The problem with using the dizzy is that I am using a Swift 16v head and the dizzy comes straight out of the back of the head. It doesn't clear the firewall.

I did find that, but it's a wacky tooth configuration. It would be pretty easy to use a 1.3 pulley as it has a seperate backing ring. Replace that with a toothed wheel and voila. But it's a poo idea to have a pickup there so I wouldn't bother. Cam sensor FTW!!!
