had a flat piece if steel and fitted it with a selftapper to the pillar. on the snork i drilled and tapped a 8mm tread. have to keep an eye on the pillar selftapper for a while as i am not sure it's gonna hold on a sierra.. if not a have to make up a bigger plate with multiple selftappers and locktite.

on the guard i fixed it with drilling 2 holes and tappin 8 mil tread in it. filled up the space between the guard and the snork with washers and rubber grommets to protect the paint. it's pretty solid but with the rough ride and vibrations going on in the sierra i'm not sure. see how it goes and will keep updates on here.

Looks good, I'm thinking about making one for my GV. Would it be possible to bend it with a pipe bender?

Would it be possible to bend it with a pipe bender? stainless can't be bend, you sorta can but leaves you with very thin walls!!+ how are you gonna bend 3" stainless of you don't have a proper bender? you can buy the bends in what ever angle you want. you just need someone to tig weld it for you. or just pay big dollars at BIGO4X4 (for adelaide people) $450 appr. they make em for you.
