Hey guys,

I bought a 1984 Sierra High top. Its a 1.3, 5 speed from factory.

Why when ever i look for parts it say Sierra's 1986 onwards?? Is this model a bad one to have, i know a WT would of been better but i love the high roof.

Its going to be getting the absolute works (Lift, gears,lockers,engine etc) I would hate to start this and then find out it was a bad base model to start with.

i have a hard top NT
wish i had a high top
look into a WT diff/axle swap ?

OKay so even though it says 1986 onwards most parts will fit my 84..

Yeah i let a couple of wt diffs go the other day from a forum member who only wanted $50 each for them. No where near ready for them unfortunately.

The NT model years are from 85 > somewhere in 88. Yours was probably made in 84 for 85. There are a few odd combinations around during swap over years though. So you should be safe with anything that says NT or 85/86 > 88.

What bits are you looking at upgrading?, pics of the current bits you have will soon sort any confusion out. And any pics in general are good!
