Fitting a G13B into a Cappuccino
Need a Sierra G13 flywheel and sump
Is the GTI starter motor different to the Sierra - if so I'll need one of those also.

I want to mate up a GTI G13B to a 5 speed Sierra box.
The GTI flywheel does not work. Everything I read regarding GTI / Sierra conversions recommends using all Sierra stuff (flywheel, clutch etc).
Whatever I use would need to have a lot of weight taken off it (for a street car), so not sure what the flat vs stepped looks like.
The GTI flywheel is flat, but the ring gear appears to be too large in diameter to fit the starter on the Sierrra box.

Oki Doki,, you need to go count the number of teeth on the input shaft of the gear box.
18 spline will require a flat flywheel.
20 spline requires a stepped flywheel.
When you get a clutch for it, make sure you tell them what spline count you need.

1.no sierra ever used a flat flywheel
2. only parts suppliers like repco or supercheap ask for spline count on sierra . FYI the swift gti and the 1litre both use 18 spline , no 1.3 sierra ever used 18 spline.
3. you can use either clutch and flywheel setup , if you use the swift flywheel you only need to use the swift pressure plate , sierra friction plate and throwout bearing . if you use the sierra flywheel you can use the entire clutch kit. swift clutch kit (exedy) is SZ335 , sierra is SZ330

i am using a custom clutch kit using a swift flywheel , custom swift pressure plate (1000lb clamp pressure) , sierra brass button puck solid centre friction plate , sierra throwout bearing.

A NT I use to have had a flat flywheel. fluke maybe?
Exeedy also stock a 18 and 20 spline clutch for 1.3L sierra. Dunno what the go is then.

I was going down the path of GTI flywheel / hybrid sierra clutch but the GTI starter wouldn't fit.
Does this mean I need a Sierra starter ?

I have a G13BA sump and pickup in melb. Out of a swift. You'd need to look at the sump shape to see if it would work.

Not too sure how you managed to use the swift flywheel but i'll take your word for it becasue you've obviously done it
To my knowledge the GTi starter won't bolt to the sierra flywheel and vise verse

Yes

If i were you, id use the sierra flywheel with sierra starter and sierra clutch....but that's just my opinion

So..... I'm back where I started.
Has anyone got a Sierra flywheel, a Sierra sump or a Sierra starter motor for sale.
(The GTI sump is wrong shape - due to FWD canted forward.)
Basically I'm trying to duplicate a GTI motor in a Sierra senario - been done many many times before I'm sure
