OTHER INFO: I bought this car off a guy in Mansfield in September 2012, has spent most of it's life up in Mansfield as a run about car on the farm and around the local area. I bought it, got it roadworthied and fixed the following items:
Crack in Exhaust Manifold (has been professionally welded)
New rear muffler
Taillights/headlights/spotlight globes
Dash high beam indicator light
Steering Lock (Does 1 3/4 turns to full lock both left and right)
New rear tailshaft uni joint
New exhaust gaskets
I fixed all the items, gave it a thorough check over, bought a new Soft top, serviced the engine, gearbox and transfer case with new oil and took it on a light camping trip up in the Alpine Range near Mt. Beauty in VIC.
I have hardly put 1,500k's on it since I bought it and I planned to lift this, put a hard top on it, put a snorkel on and some 31" M/T's, but I have decided that I want a bigger 4x4 and have my heart set on a Toyota 4runner. Therefore, my hard work getting this car roadworthied, through Vic Roads and re-registered all within the last 40 days is my loss and your gain!
It is a super reliable little car, it takes anything you throw at it and is a very capable little offroader.
It has:
GME CB Radio with antenna mounted
Sony Xplod USB/AUX headunit with 4 JVC speakers (all wired up and sounds good)
Small set of M/T's (I can't remember the exact size, I'll update later)
Soft Top
I have been completely honest with what this car has to offer, it has a few dents and scratches, it is an offroad car and a very very capable and reliable one at that. It has had a RWC within the last 40 days to get it registered and comes with rego until November 2013.
I bought the car for $2,000 and subsequently spent:
$200 RWC
$700 Rego
$360 Exhaust Manifold crack welded, new gaskets and new rear muffler
$300 GME CB Radio
$100 Sony Headunit
$200 New Oil for Engine, Gearbox and Transfer Case
$100 New Larger Battery for offroading
$200 New Soft Top
I have spent close to an extra $2000 on it getting it fixed, roadworthied and re-registered. So your saving money by jumping into a tried and tested offroader!!!
