How u going to get 3in lift and a 2in body lift passed now

A Good engineer thats willing to actually sit down and have a look if it meets ADR's rather than shunning it for having 5inches of lift Even though there is a strong possibility it still does meet ADR's

...just saying you know

Working on that now. Been referred straight to the RMS Tech Inquiries office.

The Cal kit has never actually been engineered, just the bouncy bits that were installed previously

Have already had a couple of engineers say flat no - one who won't touch anything over 100mm TOTAL (sus, body, tyres) for "liability reasons."

Just in case...

The gearbox on the SV doesn't feel as tight as the one from the SE - does anyone know if they are interchangeable?
I'd have to take it from the bellhousing bolts, yeah? Including clutch? Does the SV run a bigger flywheel/pressure plate etc?

Cheers!

Different.

Clutch and flywheel are different, the length of the bellhousing is deeper on the SV box, And although I have not measured it, I'd assume that the input shaft is made longer to match....)

Otherwise, they are the same.

Dammit.

Box on the SV is livable, as long as it doesn't get any worse.

Thanks fellas.

I have a good J20 box here. I'm sure the H20 and J20 boxes are the same, bar the bellhousing.

No it's the output for the tail shaft that's different so just use the SE tail shaft

Can't really see it, but the splines are clearly very different. Just as well the shafts are otherwise identical Armsup

Slightly related topic - do H20s suffer the same issue with CELs from O2 sensors shitting themselves? Anyone got a part number for replacements?

I'm getting a random, short-lived CEL... much like the same thing when I first bought the SE.

Bit more detail on transfer cases...

Input spline and bolt face is all good, straight fit. The only slightly odd thing I found was a little keyway right at the centre on the underside of the gearbox - where the oil is dripping:
Image
It could be a chip but it looks too neat and symmetrical. There is no such gap on the SE gearbox. The odd thing is that the transfer fitted to my SV didn't have a matching nub to fit inside it, the gap had just been filled with sealant. I've done the same with my SE transfer, if it leaks I'll chuck some kneadit at it:
Image

The output is another matter... everything is different. Driveshaft slipjoint splines are different, there is only one switch output (4WD light, no LO light) and speedo drive is different (although the one on mine may have been aftermarket.) The two speedo drives can be interchanged at the threaded collar join though, so no biggy.
Image

Mounts are different, but look interchangeable. The SV one is a single piece whereas the SE is two pieces:
Image
The SV doesn't have the torque bush, or holes in the crossmember to mount it.

The SV crossmember is much beefier and more 'built' than the SE one, but it still has a single thickness panel on the leading edge, which folds just nicely to enclose the mount and chassis bolts when it's hit
