Hey all,

I have Jimny 09 1.3 vvt Automatic with electronic transmission
lifted with trail master 2.5-3 inch
i run stock tyres size 205/70/15 maxxis M8060
and air locked rear

when swap engines into M16A vvt should be enough power to drive easy with 235/75/15 tyres
my question is if it is right to do this, if al the unites (auto transmission, transfer...) will survive under this new bigger load.
what other effects a engine braking

Does its good enough and right to go only the swap without change the gear ratio?

I'm pretty sure the engine you are going to put into a car in Qld must be the same age as the car or newer.
M16 vvt's are hard to find for a reasonably priced one. If you find one for cheap with a good amount of Km's grab it.
I couldn't find one for cheap enough. Maybe do a search on jimny auto gear boxes.

i live in israel, we have here M13A, M15A, M16A, we dont have here the M18A.
does someone here have en experience with bigger engine, bigger tyres with no ratio change (i am pretty sure that it have enough power, my question is about the sransfer and manual transmission, if they will survive the new load)

You should be fine with the bigger tyres, just keep in mind jimny gear boxes are like glass to start off with. Apparently the M non vvt gear box is the stronger one. Search zukenutter he has done the swap, but at the end of the day nothing would be better with an SJ TC box with reduction gears.
