hey all, just pulled out my out transfer case and seen that the new case has a different colour/size speedo gear. This means that my old speedo drive on the chassis side wont drive the gear inside the case. Can i fit another gear from a different yr or do i have to crack open the new case to swap gears? i dont know what year the new case come from, but the gear inside is blue and mine is a yellow/white. The yellow gear is maybe 2mm away from the gear inside the new case. If i do have to open it all up, please explain???? cheerrss

i'm just replying here to get your hopes up that i have some useful info to contribute, other than being the one to notice that your speedo gears werent meshing in the first place, and saving you from dropping a tcase on your face TWICE =) lol
PS: got to nearly 42*C outside while we were in your garage, no wonder i thought it was hotter while i was in the car. lol

Munted fill/drain plugs? You dropped it on your face? I said in your lap, Mitch! Did you find the pic of the two speedo senders? I'm sending you this: I've sent you a PM too - might have a buyer for the motor, so the gearbox might be available.

Wanna have a low range drag race??
