Hi guys ive just bought a 2012 Jimny. Just waiting for ARB to finish developing the bull bar for the newer shape and ill get one. My question is does anyone know if the lightforce 170's fit in the Jimny arb bullbar or do i need to buy the 140'? I know it will be slightly different with the new one but the dimensions shouldnt change that much.

Thanks guys.

I have 240 in mine. 170 should fit in the new style bars if there similar to the old one.

Doesnt mean they fit  the 170s are a perfect fit under the top rail, dont have to stick out the front or anything.

I could just be jealous... Nah

I run the 170's on my GV. I've upped them to 100w HID and fuck me thats bright. I'm getting a 200W lightbar for the spread atm the lightforce's are full spread covers on them when I get the lightbar the 170's will be 2 pencil beam covers on them. I recon they are an awsome light and can't fault them.

Slightly off topic, but I can't see how the 06-11 bullbar wouldnt fit the new model Jimny??? You're still only going to remove the bumper, and nothing else has changed except the front grill is no longer part of the bonnet?

I'd put money on they haven't even looked at it and they're just saying that to cover their asses lol... Not saying I'm not wrong, but theres definitely no change to the chassis etc.

They kick ass mate. real happy with them, not HID.

I was considering getting a flood lens for one of them, but ended up with a LED bar for the flood side of things. They throw really well though.

Yeah i dont know the difference if there is one. Has anyone got a 2012 with an arb bar? are they lying to me? I was just told by the ARB people that the bull bar for the previous jimny 2011 and older doesnt fit the 2012(with the scoop) he didnt elaborate as to the difference and i didnt even think to ask. I will speak to another ARB store tomorrow and see what the go is and if they say anything different.

I fired off an email to ARB and this is what I got back from one of there Product Managers.

"Thank you for your enquiry to ARB and your interest in our products.

Over the last 18 months ARB have experiencing an unprecedented busy period in regards to development. In that period many new and updated vehicles have been released that have required complete developments of products.

We are starting to catch up on the product development demand now and as a result are starting to focus attention onto some vehicles we have been wanting to start on for some time.

Currently development for a new Jimny 2012 bar has not been scheduled. Unfortunately I cannot provide a time line, except to say that I expect it will be quite some time off."

I suppose I don't mind waiting. I'm not sure about the Xrox bar. I'm not sure if I love it or hate it. I will have to have a look when they release it.

Not having a go but 6 months isn't really that long to be judging it, 100w are bloody bright though I'll give you that. My 55w kit in my extremes are great, try and get 5000k instead of the 6000 or 6500k they normally do though
