Has any one besides pezz used spray on tray liner in there Zook?
1. How expensive was it (all I have found is a $300 kit , )
2.how practical was it does it crack quickly.

I was thinking of using the ute tray liner on my Zook for the sheer opertunity of it being easy to maintain, I'm planning on having an air line plumed into the cab with a air gun to blow sand and crud out as well.

So who knows anything about the subject

There's also a south african product called "Bakkie Liner" (apparently they call ute tubs "bakkies" Seemed quite good. Don't know where you get it.

I've used Herculiner in the past and found it very good, but the last batch I bought for the trolley tug was very, very old and the rubber solids that give it the grip had settled out. No amount of stirring would dig them out of the bottom of the can. The result looked pretty average when we applied it.

Just a thought about some of these products - they are very coarsely finished for grip, which is great, but be careful using them anywhere you might rest a bare leg (like a trans tunnel) or need hand access to. some of it is abrasive enough to skin knuckles.

Call up some panel beaters and ask what they recommend... then you know what to google..
Rhino deck and gorilla "something" spring to mind. perhaps be creative on your search but I doubt its going to be cheap

Thanks for the response guys, Steve I never thought about the chance it was abrasive, I think for the torqe tunnel ill just wire brush it right back and get it looking more pretty and just use spray on deader for the tunnel area, also can u paint over tray liner?

^^^ any auto-paint supplier will get you body schutlz & a gun to apply it can also get it from stupidcheap (aka stone guard)

I used the hippo liner on my lj80. Very easy to apply and it wasn't too expensive, I think about $130. I'll be using the U-pol raptor bed liner for my sierra as I've heard only good things about it...you can also get a tintable version so you can match the paint colour of your car.

IV got a gun atm the hippo liner seems the go I'm hoping a one kit will do the hole floor, I'm thinking I'll just stone gaurd the underside

I've used both Hippo liner and Raptor liner .

Hippo liner was cheaper , harder to get on nice and started lifting in places after about a year .
I also found it was really hard to keep clean as the finished surface held the dirt and grim

The Upol Rator liner is expensive , but went on really nice with a shilzt gun .
Finished surface is easy to keep clean and has proven quite resistant to knocks and scratches .






I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for and would use raptor liner again in a heartbeat.

West coast customs or whatever their called did it, iona an american custom car show, did it on a Toyota ute, can't remember all the details, would be durable and you wouldn't have to worry about scratches or chips ever again

The speedliner product i worked with used it own brand of tints

A bakkie (pronounced 'buck-ee') is a ute - the whole vehicle (not just the tub)

The workshop I work at does Rhino lining, they have special pigments to add to the poly urethane to change the colour.

I was thining of getting my floor pan done in rhino. might cost more than buying the kit and doing it myself but i get a warranty and dont have to buy spray guns and masking sheets etc and masking everything up inside and out is very important because it doesnt come off easily.

Plus it drys in 28 seconds and I've never seen one peel back or crack.

They recycle old tyres and rubber etc and make it into a water based acrylic paint
I seen a tub of it for $130 for 4 litres
