Morning all just have a quik question, is a 98 sv620vh type 3 the first of the jellybean shape, I'm after a tidy auto 620 and there is one advertised in a yard here but has no pic, done a few searches and some have the previous square front and some show that model having the jellybean front, which is it?

No. All sv's are the update vitara shape. All jelly beans are gv's, and are sq's.

ANd the "620" refers to a 6cly 2.0 ltr. GV's had a 2.5ltr V6 (SQ625)

cheers for that peoples I did.know a that all the jelly beans were sq's but I thought that they may have just fukd the ad up, was 98 the very last year of the sv then? One other questions for ya's will.suspension.bits off a lwb vit fit on a sv?

You sure about that? Git any links to them?

ASFAIK there are only SQ416, SQ420 and SQ625 available here in OZ. Over seas they have a deisel motor also but never heard of a 2.0ltr V6 in a GV

the last of the SV's were sold along side of the SQ's, my swb had a build date of 97 & a 99 aus compliance plate so it sat around in a yard somewhere in japan for a fair time before being put on the slow boat.

Went and looked at it this arvo, was a jellybean- devo. Dudes who do ads for cars in yards really don't know shite, just know how to babble a bit of wank in an ad. Anywho when I do find a decent one will my lwb gear bolt on, I know the diffs r wider but will.this effect bolting on normal vit gear?

what shit do you have one the 1.6, my crystal ball is a bit stoned ATM?

i'd swap diff gears straight up, best thing you could do to one even on a mild tyre size & if you sell the 1.6 with stock sized wheels they probably won't notice that its running 4.8's, your 94 will probably be a 22 spilne front diff the SV will be 26.

just all my suspension, has a 2in lift on it, I thought that would be a good start, also Atari what size are your sunnies, will 15's fit or will I need to go to 16's and what size Tyre you running on yours? Cheers.

lift kit will swap over, but the front might ride low due to the extra weight of the V6

-15 15x7's but they don't bolt up, you need to get a bit radical & give them a lick with a flap disk to fit them & be prepared to stagger the pad changes. -15 or more would make it easier, anything less i think would be more of a problem again.

I know its a bit ghetto but do you reckon a strut top flip on the front would give that little bit extra to offset the weight? So pretty much 16's it is is what your saying I think my vit 15's are pos 10, so would be a no go unless I bought a set of 25mm or a bit more bolt on wheel spacers, but not too keen to go up that path.

struts/shocks don't effect ride hight, springs do that bit so flipping the mount wont help but a small spring spacer would.

+10's will have zero chance of even coming close to fitting.
